The Caribbean rope hammock is hand-crafted in a tradition that dates back over 100 years. It is made from a continuous woven bed of three ply twisted polyester rope with a soft comfortable construction. The classic rope hammock is an icon of relaxation. Originating from the South Carolina low lands where it was used for cool and breezy naps, combating the heat and humidity with its open weave and floating on air comfort. This hammock is everything you need to bring a little bit of that laid back deep south attitude to your favorite get away from it all location. While other rope hammock makers have been using thinner ropes and less of them in an effort to cut costs we still insist on 80 stands of 8mm thick polyester rope. We also insist on twenty suspension cords for both ends of the hammock ensuring even weight distribution and better balance. Add to that real wood spreader bars with marine spa varnish and jumbo sized zinc plated ‘O’ rings for safe and secure suspension and you have the ultimate in comfort and outdoor longevity.
